Love Bites

The apple. 

Since the bible apples are being symbols for mankind: Seduction, knowledge and delight are building a triangle for possible meanings. The figure of the eaten Apple adds different qualities to this picture, as there are: Excess, resources, reproduction and a new beginning for example.

The way human nature is determined to act emotional - from natures point of view it doesn’t matter, weather it’s aggression or delight. The apple needs to be eaten in order to free the seeds. They make new life and reproduction possible.

That is why the two eaten apples are metaphorical for continuity in the cultural process of cultural reproduction and evolvement.
